Ronan Harvey - Owner of Cotswold Airport
Ronan trained as an aircraft engineer with the RAF and post the RAF worked for an airline before developing his own network of business. In 1995 he moved Polydron International into G Site and he formed Delta Jets and became involved with the management of the airfield. Ronan, who had previously started, and developed the Northampton Balloon Festival, was the driving force behind the first civilian run Kemble Air Day in 1996 and the ‘architect’ of proposals for the future of Kemble leading to his purchase of the estate in March 2001. His passion for the airfield and investment in it led to the opening of the AV8 Restaurant and CAA Licensing in 2002, the development of the annual Air Day to national event status and more recently the construction of 12 new GA hangars. Ronan, holds a twin aircraft rating, a helicopter licence, is an aerobatic pilot, and has flown solo in a Hunter jet. His other passion is sailing. His daughter, Suzannah, joined the KAS Board in 2008.
Suzannah Harvey - CEO/Group MD
Following four years as a consultant in the recruitment industry, Suzannah started Universal Model Managment Ltd in 2003, a sucessful model and promotions agency with over 1000 personalities represented world wide. In 2007 Suzannah began organising the corporate entertainment at Cotswold Airport and in 2008 has taken a full time post as a Director looking after marketing, events and business development. In June 2012, Suzannah was appointed as CEO and Group MD. Hobbies include playing Polo, shooting & fishing. Suzannah's father, Ronan is the airport owner.
Christian Ackroyd - Airport Director
Christian is a former Army Colonel and qualified pilot. After university, he commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1998 and served for 20 years. Christian’s record of active service included Bosnia, Kosovo, two tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan. He also served in Canada, Poland, Germany and the USA for training. Additionally, he spent two-years in an exchange post as deputy commander of a US Army Artillery Brigade in Oklahoma and more recently he worked in NATO, before completing his service as the Chief Engineer for all land based vehicle systems in defence. He is a graduate of the Joint Service Command and Staff College. Academically, Chris holds a BSc degree in Engineering, a MA in Defence Studies and a PGDip in Strategic Management and Leadership. He is also a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Christian has a long-standing passion for aviation, kicked off as a former air cadet and glider pilot. He is an active PPL and regularly flies PA28s and Citabria’s with a based flying club. He will be flying out of Cotswold Airport as frequently as his new role allows!
Lee Hawkins - Financial Controller
Lee has over 20 years experience working in finance having worked at a variety of respected companies including Ford, Mercedes and Rolls-Royce Aerospace. He also had a stint as a retailer of South East Asian food kits and a pop-up restaurant. He owns two tortoises, a hedgehog and possibly a cat, although the cat is not fully committed to the relationship.
Glen Moreman - Airport Operations Manager
Responsible for the day to day operational aspects of Cotswold Airport , liasing with staff, operators, pilots and flying clubs to ensure the smooth running of the airport. Glen has lived locally all his life and has a passion for vintage jets, rock music and football!. Glen is also akeen aviation historian and has considerableknowledge of Cotswold Airport ’s history going back to 1936. He first started working at Cotswold Airport as a volunteer in 1996 and has been here ever since!!
Lavina Ralston - Airport Operations
Lavina is Cotswold Airports operations office resident Formula One enthusiast with a passion for Lewis Hamilton. She can often be heard urging him to victory whilst watching one of the grand prix races.
Julian Sims - FISO and Airports Operations Assistant
Julian has been with us for a number of years working as a FISO in the tower and in our busy operations department. He has a keen interest in motorbikes and is a keen radio amateur.
Antonia Silk - Airport Operations
Antonia is the latest recruit to the operations team and has already settled in nicely. Until recently she used to work for Air Salvage International on the airport and so is very experienced in aerodrome operations and Cotswold Airport procedures.
Neil Porter - Estates
Neil grew up with aviation in his blood, living alongside RAF Abingdon. At 14, he joined the local 2121 Abingdon Air Training Corp for 6 years reaching F/SGT status. At 18 he became an MOD employee at RAF Abingdon and was one of the few of people to see in the transfer to the Army RLC and re-named Dalton Barracks.
Later, he went on to become a landscape gardener covering contracts in Hampshire for 11 years and back in Oxfordshire either side of living down in Hampshire.
In 2000, he organised the very first ‘Abingdon Fayre’ community event at Abingdon Airfield, which later became the Abingdon Air & Country Show and has grown significantly over time, gaining a place in the airshow industry, raising funds for nominated charities and continues to thrive.
Neil initially joined the Gazelle Squadron in early 2015 for two years, but left and joined the Historic Army Aircraft Flight out of Army Air Corp Centre Middle Wallop at the end of 2016 whereby is one of the groundcrew for the fixed wing and helicopters taking part in events around the UK.
In May 2018 he joined Cotswold Airport (former RAF Kemble) to later become Estates manager.
Neil also enjoys F1, walking, travelling and various outdoor activities with his partner Joanne.
