Cotswold Airport has launched its own magazine, as well as Facebook and Twitter pages on the web to keep residents up-to-date with the latest developments.
The Cotswold Flyer magazine, which includes stories and features, as well as information on events and facilities, has just been published and a downloadable PDF version is also available on the airport website.
In addition, a Twitter page has been formed, which contains information on the airport’s operational status, the type of aircraft using the facility, as well as other essential news updates.
Facebook accounts have also been set up, allowing interested parties to join “fan” pages and keep up-to-date with the latest news from the airport and in relation to the Cotswold Airshow,
The move is designed to help keep members of the local community, as well as airport users, informed as to what is happening.
Airport director Suzannah Harvey said: “We already enjoy a very good relationship with the local community but we also want them to feel more involved.
“Everyone is welcome to visit Cotswold Airport and by keeping people informed about news, events and facilities through valuable tools such as the magazine and social networking, we hope that it will help further strengthen our ties with neighbours and users.
“I would urge everyone with an interest in the airport to read the magazine and view the websites.”
Although hard copies of the quarterly Cotswold Flyer magazine are available through certain outlets, the online PDF version, which can be accessed through the airport website, www.cotswoldairport.com (downloads section) gives everyone the opportunity to access a copy.
The Twitter page address is http://twitter.com/CotswoldAirport (although there is link on the front page of the main airport website), while people with a Facebook account can simply search for Cotswold Airport and Cotswold Airshow and add themselves as “fans”.
