For the second year running, Cotswold Airport invites you to join us for a unique cinematic experience commemorating The Battle of Britain in 1940.
On The Battle of Britain weekend, 17th of September 2016, we invite you, your friends and family to come and spend an afternoon and evening with us at the airport like no other.
We will be screening the classic 1969 verison of the Battle of Britain staring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine, in our open air cinema in a truly immersive and captivating setting. Our cinema is located on a beautiful part of our historic airport with stunning illuminated woodland on one side and several iconic Boeing 747 jumbo jets looming large in the background.
Begin your fun day out when the gates open at 3pm and stay to enjoy our range of exciting activities.
We will be offering you a chance to purchase a delicious and commemorative Poppy Picnic in support of The Royal British Legion (50% of picnic profits will go towards the RBL) and to also watch vintage aircrafts fly in and look at some beautiful classic cars. We also will be host to the Military Vehicle Trust, who will be bringing in a range of vintage military trucks and vans. Enjoy all this against the background of iconic 1940's music taking you back in time to this special era.
We are also joining forces with Freedom Aviation Ltd who will be offering light aircraft flight experiences in their Piper Warriors. Book on the day on a first come first served basis.
